Difficult to obtain,essential to sustain!
You all might be terrified looking at the above machineries and might be thinking this level of science would be really difficult to digest.Believe me,reading my article further you would understand how deceiving your thoughts might be.
We organisms have a major dependence on chemicals .This complex machinery is used to make one such chemicals named ammonia.
Ammonia is a combination on hydrogen and nitrogen. The reaction can be reversed at any instance thus the needed ammonia is rather difficult to obtain. Thus we made this machine to make our lives simpler.
The working of this machine once more goes as an interesting story.
The raw nitrogen and hydrogen obtained are flushed through the entry tube. Both the gases are then thoroughly scrubbed(purified).Racing at high speed these gasses reach the compressor where the actual reaction takes place.
The compressor is flaming hot with a temperature of 450°C ,a pressure 200 times of what we live in (squishing) (200atm),and with beds of hot iron reaction speeders(catalysts)
Here the molecules are highly excited (tremendous kinetic energy). They continuously combine and disintegrate too.
After it passes through this compressor section the molecules are then super cooled to change its integral structure so that it doesn't change to the initial sources once more!
The molecules which have failed combining to form ammonia are recycled through the pipes and thus the process goes on once more.
Finally the king product ammonia is formed!Stinky but highly liked and used.🤔
One widespread use is in fertilizer compounds as they contain nitrates.
*The disadvantage of such a fertilizer is put up on my first post ,don't you miss it!*
